Agriculture and photovoltaic complementarity : empowering agriculture and consolidating green development
The Hainan Wanning Liji 100MW "agricultural photovoltaic complementary" photovoltaic power generation project supplied by Trina Solar has added new impetus to Hainan's green and low-carbon development. The project uses all Trina Solar Supreme N-type 700W+ series modules, with an annual power generation of 133 million kWh, providing a steady supply of green electricity for surrounding residents and industries, effectively reducing the use of traditional fossil energy, greatly reducing carbon emissions, mitigating climate change, and reducing the risk of climate change on biodiversity loss. At the same time, this is also a successful case of "agricultural photovoltaic complementary".
Fish-solar complementarity: leading technology, protecting marine ecology

In 2023, the Guangdong Taishan Haiyan Town (Phase I) photovoltaic project was successfully connected to the grid. The project adopts the "fish-solar complementarity" model, which can generate electricity and aquaculture. Through the composite utilization of tidal flats and sea areas, it has paved a road to prosperity for local fishermen who live in harmony with the ocean.
Photovoltaic sand control: greening and sand retreat, lighting up the desert ecology
The ecological restoration power of photovoltaics also extends to the once "barren land". The construction of photovoltaics in deserts, Gobi, and wasteland can prevent wind and grass, and stop blowing sand. The State Power Investment Guizhou Jinyuan Alxa League Wulanbuhe Jinyuan 100MW Desert Control and Energy Storage Photovoltaic Project has risen on the sea of sand, writing a magnificent poem of photovoltaic sand control.
Wastewater Treatment
Make full use of recyclable industrial production wastewater, and treat non-recyclable wastewater to meet discharge standards .
Discharge is monitored regularly, and the Water Pollution Prevention and Control Management Procedure has been issued and implemented since 2008.
The list of water pollution sources should be updated at least once a year. At the same time, water consumption and chemical usage should be reduced through manufacturing and technological transformation, and chemicals that seriously pollute the water environment should be replaced to reduce the generation of industrial wastewater and pollutants.
Suqian Optoelectronics has added a new fluoride removal system and supporting facilities to actively reduce fluoride in effluent water
wastewater fluoride upgrading and transformation system uses advanced process technology to accurately and efficiently remove the gas content in the wastewater to meet the emission standards, so as to achieve sustainable use of water resources. In 2023, the original wastewater treatment and fluoride removal process of the Suqian base was chemical precipitation. By transforming the secondary cyanide removal process , Suqian Optoelectronics added fluoride removal dosing equipment and supporting facilities, and changed the original addition of calcium chloride to the addition of fluoride removal agents, and deeply treated the fluoride in the wastewater. The principle of xenon removal is to remove fluoride ions in the water by adsorption, which can reduce the fluoride in the effluent to 5mg.
Trina Solar has disclosed the total phosphorus emissions into industrial wastewater since its 2023 Sustainability Report .
Exhaust
Trina Solar's gas emissions mainly include greenhouse gases, particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, etc. generated by the combustion of natural gas.
By improving the treatment process, configuring complete waste gas treatment facilities and other measures, we ensure that waste gas is effectively treated and meets emission standards.
The company regularly invites qualified third-party organizations to conduct on-site environmental testings and issue test reports .
Yancheng Technology adds acid absorption treatment process to reduce ammonia emission concentration by more than 10%
In response to the exhaust gas (containing a small amount of ammonia) generated by the coating process , Yancheng Technology adds an acid absorption treatment process at the water absorption end, so that the exhaust gas is treated in a silane combustion barrel + water washing + acid absorption before meeting the emission standards, absorbing and neutralizing the residual ammonia as much as possible, reducing the ammonia emission concentration by more than 10%, and minimizing the impact of the emitted waste gas on the environment.
Waste Management
Adhering to the 3R principles of "reduction at source, reuse and recycling", we continue to improve the waste management mechanism and have set the goal of achieving "zero" waste landfill by 2030.
We established Yancheng Heshengliu Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. in 2021, which is mainly responsible for pallet production and resource recycling. Our business covers six bases in Changzhou, Yiwu, Suqian, Huai'an, Yancheng and Dafeng. Heshengliu company has got the ISO 9001 quality management system, ISO 14001 environmental management system and ISO 45001 occupational safety and health management system certifications.
Yancheng Technology controls the PH value of the defluorination stage to reduce the production of calcium fluoride sludge
In order to reduce the generation and discharge of sludge, Yancheng Technology uses waste alkaline water to increase the pH value of the back-end process and reduce the pH value of the front-end defluorination stage to reduce the amount of lime used. At the same time, Yancheng Technology achieves a reduction in the use of polyaluminium chloride (PAC) by precisely controlling the pH of defluorination, controlling the fluoride content and fully understanding the coagulation and flocculation mechanism. During the reporting period, the above measures reduced the total amount of calcium fluoride sludge disposal by approximately 1,680 tons compared with 2022; the total cost of lime, PAC purchase and sludge disposal was approximately RMB 4.2734 million.
